Eighties Extermination 1980s
Are you a child of, or did you live through the 1980s? The 1980s was a time of Heavy Metal Rock e.g. Guns 'n' Roses and Mötley Crüe. It was a time of awesome movies e.g. The Karate Kid, Sixteen Candles, Back to the Future and Dirty Dancing. If you want the party of the decade then Eighties Extermination is the murder mystery party for you!

Ah, we have bought from you before, so that should work well! Good to see you making it available for online play. We did Serial killers and Tracy Gang. We will try the 80s game this time.

3 Steps to Murder Mystery fun!
1) Order a murder mystery game for your group size.
2) Host the party yourself or hire a professional murder mystery host.
3) Have a murderous good time.
Setting: The Eighties Extermination theme involves characters at a 1980s prom style event. The story includes a rock performance of Mötley Crüe. As a result you could set your party in a 1980s dance, prom, disco, concert, party, school reunion or any other event where a band would play.
Story: We are here ready for the greatest party of the decade. I have heard a rumor that Mötley Crüe will be playing and Sixteen Candles are all it will take to get this party Back to the Future. KITT loves Mötley Crüe and will do absolutely anything to finally meet them. This puts KITT in a tricky situation as Donkey Kong and Flashdance watch on. Will the bullies win?
Adult Themes: There are no adult themes per se. The victim wears girl's underpants (from Sixteen Candles) and there is mention of Prozac (invented in the 80s).
Costumes: Guests come as their favorite 1980s character e.g. Teddy Ruxpin, Ronald Reagan, the Karate Kid.
How Do Costumes and Characters Work? All the characters are non gendered so this theme suits an all girl party. To make the murder mystery game really to organise your guests don't need to dress as any particular character. Their costume doesn't affect the character they play in the murder mystery game. You allocate characters on the night of the murder mystery party. This way if guests are sick and can't make it or short notice friends want to come, there is no impact on how you run the game.
Normal Use: Fundraiser, kids 11+, teenage or adult party.
Group Size: 4 to 8, 2 to 15, 2 to 60, 60 to 120.
Remember the 80s, when murder was fun and everyone was doing it?

1980s Costume Ideas
The eighties is the era where fashion was extreme, it was a decade of bold style and colors. If you’ve watched Stranger Things you would have an idea of the 1980s look and here is a guide on how to recreate their costumes.
Jumpsuits
Perfect for summer outfits, girls of the 80s wore lightweight cotton or chambray jumpsuits that came in the colors of blues, pinks and yellows to florals or stripes or patterns. They also wear Coverall jumpsuits much like the workwear but much more roomier in the leg part.
Powersuits
As women started working in offices during the 80s, the powersuit became their go to outfit. This resembles men’s suits but are more feminine and more of like a source of confidence for women back then since working women were not common. Blazers with extended shoulders were in and to achieve this, women used shoulder pads as linings. Aside from blazers, working women also wore color coordinating slacks or skirts and they were typically high waisted. To finish off the look, they wore pumps and pantyhose and accessorize with earrings and a matching necklace.
Punk
This was the era’s rebellious look. To pull off this look you would need studded leather jackets, ripped jeans, blank t-shirts and heavy-duty boots. You could also wear a wig that has a bold colors and an edgy style.
Workout
Recreate the 80s workout look by wearing bold colored high-rise bodysuits with bright neon leggings and bike shorts and top it off with wide colorful cloth headbands.
